Time is coming for the D3 to go as I move into a company car repmobile BMW 
New buyer has asked if the warranty is transferable. Have to say I just assumed it was and need to check the small print but wondered if anybody knows.
It's an extended LR main dealer warranty as the car was bought just under 3 years old and the warranty started on its third birthday a month or so later (it's 4 years old in March 2011)

you can transfer it to the new owner, there is a card with the LR extended warranty pack for you to do this - I might be doing the same shortly. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

The warranty is on the car itself. Fill out the card bit to give Land Rover warranty the new owner details.

Hi
When I bought my Disco myself and the seller completed the transfer document and posted it off to the address on the form. This was in January.
Since then I have not heard anything from Land Rover. I assumed that they would send me a new warranty document in my name.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote to them asking what was happening so far no reply.
(I prefer to write as in the case of a dispute you have written proof.)
Its a MOT type warranty and I want it sorted out before the MOT is due in June.
Has anybody actually successfully completed a transfer?

Call the extended warranty company and get them to sort out sending you the forms. Have you made extended warranty claim, I heard a few dealers that had salesmen that sold the warranty but never sent the forms off

I have the extended warranty forms but they have the previous owner's name on them.
I thought they would have re-issued them in my name when they got the transfer form.
I have not made a claim but I want it sorted out before the MOT is due.
