| The Washers - Legal position etc etc |

Anyone know if its not legal to only have one washer ( near side ) working.
Oh, and before you ask, the D3 went into the dealers this week to sort out the poor performing offside washers.
Needs a new "bit" which is on order, but now doesn't work at all. ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Potentially - if one is working then you might get away with it for a little while
But
"Vehicle or part in a dangerous or defective condition" includes windscreen washers and would result in a defective vehicle form being issued.
Also
"Negligent use of a motor vehicle" includes driver not in a position to have a full and clear view ahead - this is prosecutable

I can confirm that I got 3 points for driving when my wiper arm broke whilst in bad weather away from home. I said to plod that it had only broke this morning and I hadn't had chance to get it fixed yet......No Joy, he just wrote a ticket out for a defective vehicle.
