Washers not working D3 06
Washers on the headlamps, rear screen and windscreen have all stopped working wipers are ok though.
Washer bottle is full, and after having looked at past posts I've checked the F11 fuse and that's ok, the pump(s) dont seem to be working as I can't hear either of them spinning when you operate the stalk.
Is there anything else to check ie fuses, relays that I've missed before I start stripping the front bumper off.
Thanks
Paul

You can get to the pumps by just removing nearside wheel arch liner.

I had the pump seize up, changed it by peeling back the wheel arch liner

Got the pump out and tested it, all seems ok with the pump as it spins up.
So just to recap, no headlamp, rear screen, and windscreen wash working wipers work ok,if I press the end of the stalk to initiate a screen wash you can here a click down in the fuse box behind the glove box.
Is that saying that alls well up to that point and any problems are past the fuse box or is the 'click' for the wipers.
Are there any relay,s that could be faulty.?
I'm a builder by trade but I'm willing to have a go just need a bit of direction

I'll try and have a look at the wiring diagrams tonight.
Surprised the headlight washers don't work too. Did you have the headlights on ?

Doesn't seam to be a common issue.
When did the headlight washers last work ? Maybe they haven't worked for a long time unnoticed ?
Disconnect the small front/rear window pump plug and ensure there is a continuity to ground on both wires.
If one doesn't have connection to ground you have found the problem.
Either a broken wire or the CJB.
Depending which wire, you could bodge it.

The headlight washers only work on every third press of the washer stalk. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks for the reply's, the washers worked as they should before the problem.
Bought a current tester (mini blade) and took the no 11 15amp fuse out of the fuse box behind the glove box and pushed the mini blade tester in, turned ignition on and pushed the button on the end of the stalk to iniciate a wipe/wash,wipers worked but no reading came up on the tester.
Should I have got a reading come up? Have I narrowed the problem down to between the stalk and the fuse box?
All and any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers Paul

There are 2 pumps, one for main washers and lower one for headlight. If the main pump is dead it wont draw a current. I'd use a multimeter set to Volts DC and check the connector at both pumps for 12VDave

No you haven't narrowed the problem down.
You need to unplug the small pump, and check for continuity at the pump plug to ground

Thanks to Pete K and all, went back to the 'start' again as suggested and checked the pump's,this time the front and rear pump didn't work.
It seems it was an intermittent fault with the pump as the first time I checked it spun round.
So new one ordered and fitted and all's working as it should.
So once again thanks.

Thread resurrection. My headlight washers are barely working at all, a mere dribble at best. I'm sure when I had a leaking bottle in the past that I only saw two pumps, so how does this work? One for the front screen, one for the rear, one for the headlights?
