Water in passenger foot well, pollen filter wet. |
|
Are there drain pipes below the grill, where the wipers mount, below the
bonnet line at the foot of the windscreen? If so where do I look for them.
The passenger side front foot well is very wet, there are no signs of
water ingress by the engine tunnel or where the carpet goes up towards
the fuse box/blower box. I have ruled out the AC drain pipes by the
amount of water in the well, checked the sun roof front drains, OK,
could not find the rear ones, if the water had come down the B pillar
there should be water in the rear passenger foot well as well, so
gave that one a miss, removed the passenger side A pillar trim
and no signs of water there. Then pulled the pollen filter, and found
the inner edge wet for about 10mm across the full length, the side
deepest in when you install it, looked around the fuse box and could
see no signs of water there. We did have thunder showers in the
afternoon at a friends house, drove home in some light rain
and no water was noticed then, so it must have happened overnight.
I think it has come through AC air intake system, passed the pollen
filter into the blower case. Now there must be some sort of water trap
system there with a drain pipe, does this drain system discharge to
the out side or inside of the vehicle
Any one had this one yet? D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Did you get anywhere with this problem?
I think I'm having the same issue. See: http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic51900.html for more details.
