IIRC, it varies wildly between water companies but some are around 30%

Never known it as wet a summer as the one we've had this year.
At least my water costs total around £50 a year in filter replacements. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Beer became popular because at 2% alcohol it killed most of the stuff making people ill drinking plain water.
I've written to United Utilities ( North West Water, in old money) suggesting pumping that through to our taps would be better than current supply. .

Hopefully Manchester will now start following the Met Office script which said today was dry all day ... whereas we've just had an hour of torrential rain by the sound of it on the windows. .
