Weights under rear bumper |
|
Whilst dropping my spare wheel for the first time since owning the vehicle to check if winch was working I noticed to large lumps of cast metal attached to the underside of the rear bumper either side of the tailpipes, they rock up and down. Just curious as to what they are for?
Oh and winch only came down half way. So on the winding down bolt I slowly drizzled lots of 3 in 1 oil hoping it would find its way into the mechanism via the shaft of the bolt and or rivet holes of the unit. Left it for 24hrs and bingo it wound down fully. Oiled the winch cable and wound it back up after giving the spare wheel a good clean and coating of anti corrosion spray.
