Mines developed an intermittent squeak from what sounds like the nearside rear. Thought at first it may have been the caravan as its brakes squeal when applied but squeak is also apparent from time-to-time when not towing. It might not start for 50 miles or so, and steering slightly left or braking makes it stop. Sometimes it starts again straight away, sometimes it doesn't. Noticed last night that N/S rear wheel was slightly warmer than O/S rear so may need check the EPB adjustment sometime soon.

..mine too

I have a squeak when the brakes are warm that sounds just like a pad slightly brushing the disc at the front so not completely disengaging. I put this down to excessive brake dust build up in the caliper stopping some free movement in the caliper action however it has spent the day in the local dealership who have cleaned it all up and tested it to find it is still doing it.

Pads and Discs are good with plenty of life left, but the only suggestion from the dealership is to replace the discs and pads - Despite their excellent and helpfull attitude I shall have a look into it myself as I don't fancy another bill just yet (it was rear suspension arms a couple of weeks back).

Cheers,
Matt.

Anyone know what this is?

My LR3 squeaks sometimes when taking turns. It doesn't do it when I'm braking however... only when I'm occasionally taking corners.

Any insight?

Its the Rear Pads.............LR updated the design a while back from a Square Friction Material to a Diamond shaped Friction Material. Each Outer pad also has a self adhesive pad to ensure retraction with the Piston. For a small outlay, you'll get quiet motoring
