currently researching the D3 for a while now as a guest, strangely most of the information is on here.
Ive been interested in landrovers since i was a kid Dad and i rebuilt a series 3 defender.
since becoming an adult ive had a few discovery 1s, a trooper, ford ranger and the last 4x4 being a CRV.
i did do a fair amount of greenlaning and still do a fair amount on my adventure bike so the d3 will be used offroad as well.
Going to be in the market for a 4x4 in a month or two so seeing whats out there.
from my research a looked after one is the way to go with sevice history belts pumps being done.(i am also looking at some of the alturnatives (shortlisted so far D3,Pathfinder,landcruiser,l322RR,Santana PS10/defender 110)

Hi,
I have just become the proud owner of a D4 HSE 2010 with 67k on the clock.
As a former member of clubGTI forum when I had a golf GTI, I have sought out this forum. I had huge benefits from the vast knowledge of owners and enthusiasts, and over time my knowledge grew and I in turn was able to help others. I hope my experience here will be the same.

Hello from Mid Wales
Hi Just joined the forum and researching D3s with a plan to try and find a good 'un to buy. Used to be a keen laner with Defender 90 and Disco 1s but work got in the way of fun for a few years. Just taking early retirement and want to get back into laning and offroading. Looking forward to getting out and maybe meeting up with some of you on the lanes once I get some wheels.

Hi All
Bought my Disco3 new in 2005 and had a terrible experience with dealers across Scotland around warranty issues. The car was a real love hate relationship the first 4 or 5 yrs. Now we have done over 140 odd thousand miles and have been around a lot of Europe. 4000 mls. to Majorca and long way home last year and will be repeating this year. I have a great guy who looks after the mechanicals for me now, what a difference.
Sorry to say I have used this site a few times before looking for answers to problem and have no excuse as to why it has taken me so long to register, I am a bit of a dinosaur with these things.
So hello and thanks for previous help in the past.
Willie.

Hey Guys, I am Viper1wp from South Africa, been driving land Rovers since i was 19 years old. Started with a series 2a 109, 2.286 petrol. I drove her for 17 years and never failed me, did loads of touring in South Africa with it but had to sell her due work commitments. I work as a marine service engineer and always traveling abroad.
Last year i bought the D3 V6 2.7 diesel and only drove 200 km with her till now...shocking i know..Thank you for a fantastic site and you guys make it easier for me (us) to work on our little beauties. I do have a couple of questions so bear with me... Have a great day, current location Russia.

Hi just got a discovery 3, interested in finding out options etc and get any wee bits that are missing, namely load cover, sat nav DVDs, heated seat button. See about options for roof rails etc.

Hello, from Cornwall! Mike and my D3
Hi all,
I just joined up after spending time during the last month or so reading through past threads since owning my first Land Rover. It’s a 2009 Discovery 3 HSE auto. Very happy with it apart from a few niggling faults, but I’ll cover that it the correct thread
Anyways, look forward to chatting to you all and picking your brains! (And hopefully passing on anything useful I’ve learnt too!)
