Hello folks, hopefully us seppos are ok here, who could resist a Disco 3 Forum though?
I'm a week into owning a 2008 LR3 and love g it, have made a couple light two track drives, this is such an amazing vehicle....aside from the fuel economy but since I don't have payments I can afford to feed it.
I'm going to have a search around, ttyl.

Hi am new to this site but was introduced here by a video I watched on YouTube. My disco 3 is showing suspension fault and at times go from Amber light to red light saying drive 30miles, took it to lr centre and was told it needs new compressor, but as soon as I left the lr centre the light stopped showing on the dash board for like a month now, should I be worried or should I just keep using it as it works fine...hope to hear from any one soon thanks

Quite common, I would leave it alone, mine has been doing it for over 6 years now and still clears itself
every time I start it.

Hi all,
Just registered after being a prowler for a few months. Had and owned landrovers most my life from the series 2A to the Disco 3 TDV6. Always done the repairs myself and managed to work through most of them with a little help. My next mission is to strip and inspect a susspected oil pump casing failure on the TDV6 ๐. Wish me luck ๐

Hi All
I will be the owner of a 2005 7seater base Discovery 3 with 116000mls on the clock this afternoon when I goto pick it up. The wife wanted to replace my 2008 Ford Focus Titainum which I have had for the last 7 years and has done 200,000 mls without to many issues and has been a great car with all its toys and I will be sorry to see it go. I have been doing some research on what I can upgrade on the D3 and it seems like nothing is impossible. I've already ordered a steering wheel with controls, front and rear bumpers with parking sensors and fogs plus the module.
As you can tell I'm quite keen and not afraid on a bit of spannering have practised the dark arts in my early years before becoming a fabricator welder.
I look forward to browsing the site for the many upgrades I will be making and taking advantage of the vast wealth of knowledge on here.
Now I'm off to pick it up !
Regards
Clive

Thanks Dave It was the first question I asked about the car when I went to look at it and it had been done at 90,000 so I'm happy with that.

Hi Guys!
New owner from Suffolk, bought a nicely specced Disco 3 S (Sat nav, heated seats, HK, Bluetooth, folding mirrors etc) this weekend, with 124k miles and fully stamped service history (massive wad of paperwork!) - loving being back in a D3!.
I owned one for a few months at the start of the year but didn't do my homework and had to get rid quick.
Planning on getting it checked over at local specialist Mansfield 4x4 for any faults - then starting with the modifications!
Already got a set of Mudgrabbers which would have been my first purchase, then will move onto a snorkel and minor other changes like light guards etc. If I really get the bug I'd like to get a more beefy front bumper and winch.
Now on the lookout for local green lanes and off-roading courses!
Cheers

Hi.
New member here. Been a lurker for about a year trying to decide whether to take the financial plunge and... as my wife puts it... scratch the Land Rover itch.
I managed to snag an 08 with impeccable service history, although I suspect a couple of issues looming. But all in all itโs already done me a great service between Padstow and Bristol several times over.
A few gentle mods by me, my favourite is the black grille, a kind of โtip of the hatโ to the disco2.
Give me a wave if you see me around.

Hello! Just registered here as I've had my car since February and the warranty has just run out! It's an '07 Discovery 3 with 70,000 miles on the clock! I'm also currently in the process of looking for the parts to colour code it!

Hi. A newbie here as of this morning. Hi all. Quick question please: is it a simple job to fix the tubing to the rear screen washer as I have a pool of washer water in my passenger footwell. Itโs obv broken or detached somewhere in that area which explains why no water when pump to rear operates. Iโve been inadvertently filling my car with windscreen washer mixture ๐. Cheers ๐๐ป
