I would think it would be very basic with no terrain responce.
The Discovery is very good off road as the terrain responce takes care of the diffs ride height and traction control i dont know how what it would be like without it.
For that money you could get a good Se with a lot of options. Good service history and maintenace is what your looking for.
I have had a number of 4x4 Nissans and they have all had there faults the Discovery is no different but get yourself a Gap lld diagnostics and it will pay for itself in no time

Hello
Hello
I am new here in this forum and coming from Germany.
Have been driving Defender for nearly 14 years and althought I have moved every screw on this car, I am still not clean. So now looking to purchase a Discovery
A happy new year to everybody and a healthy 2020 to you and your families

New d3 owner
Hi all, have just put deposit on an 05 standard d3, can't wait.belt done, service stamps and a load of bushes, rod ends at last mot.
Had a d2 for years and along with the NanoCom, we kept going until there was nothing left to weld...
Will no doubt have lots of questions and already looking at parking sensors or a camera!
The fun starts now...

Hi all,
Had my '05 Disco3 about a year now, been fixing all the normal gremlins and used as my work van(ish), its an SE with decent options list in Zambezi Silver and a "beautiful" low plough/land anchor fitted in the tow slot (looking for a replacement key to get rid).
I've done some light green laning around essex & suffolk where I am, but had my first trip down Bures Pit today, was great fun but my road tyres were about as useful as chocolate fireguards.. So will be on the lookout for something more suitable
Other than work, it gets used to haul my family around for holidays, camping trips and canoes on the roof, loving it! 8)

Hello
Hello all.
Found you vIa a link from gap diagnostics.
I have owned a lot of landrover and finally settled with my d4, amazing drive.
Guess I will plunder the knowledge held here while I find my way around the landy then hope to be able to pass on what I learn if I can.
Nice to find like minded people

My Disco 3
First of all, hello people & happy new year!
I don't do the internet that much but a few people have pestered me to show you guys my Discovery 3.
Shes been transformed into what you see now and has been like this for the past 2 years in the 4 yrs of ownership.
I've recently acquired some rare parts that I'll soon be fitting; Sports kit front bumper, rear tailgate spoiler & a set of front Brembo brakes.
Anyway, I know she's not everyone's cuppa but shes mine & I love it!

Hi
Hi just a quick message to introduce myself just bought my Discovery 3 about three weeks ago was really happy with it until I noticed one rear left corner sitting two inches lower checked on my mates diagnostic and it was saying height sensor fault so replaced the one on the lower corner since it went on the ramps suspension drops to stops after a short run gutted I’ve since ordered four new height sensors as One of the front ones was held on with a cable tie Just hoping that changing all four and calibration may fix it fingers crossed.

Hello Guys
Another Disco newbie, I live in Berkshire, I brought my first LR 05 TDV6 in March last year, I only wanted the base model so there would be less to go wrong, didnt exactly go to plan.
After a few months it started a transmission whine, local indy changed the front diff and n/s hub £1500 down the pan, whine slightly better but still there, told me I now needed a new transfer case, I took it to another recommended indy and thankfully another £2500 for a new transfer case and propshaft later, its now nice and quiet.
I love the car and as I'm retiring soon I hope I can get to do some mods myself, I'll be changing the rear ARB droplinks this weekend as o/s one has gone (noticed a slight list to the o/s at Christmas.
I'd like to get the gearbox flush done in the spring if I can find soneone near me to do it.
Brilliant forum, spent hours reading already, I can see why some call their steeds "moneypits"

Good morning everyone.
We've just bought an LR3 2.7 TDV6 SE for towing our caravan. We drove a Honda Civic previously but it just wasn't up to the job !!!
So far we're delighted with it. Hope it gives us years of happy holidaying.
Steve.

Hi all.
New joiner here.
Had my discovery 3 for just under a year.
The EB parking brake is screeching and i understand the module needs replacing which is a bit of a pig to change according to youtube.
Can anyone advise whether Lancaster Reading will do the job correctly. Have got some quotes.
Any other places to get it done. I'm based in Reading
Thanks.
