It's about time I said Hello!
I've been long admiring this site and it has helped immensely in the development of our latest Land Rover. I've passed through quite a few, my first being a Series 1 88" which I miss dearly , A 6 Cyl Safari Station Wagon, 200TDi and TD5 Discoveries, a Freelander and now a 2011 Disco 4. It never ceases to amaze me that the 'tin shed' that I drove back in the late 80's has developed into such a refined beast.
Upgrades accomplished so far include: cornering lights, heated wheel, mood lights, full RSE/DVD fit, TV and fixed tow bar; things in progress include logic 7 amp and speaker upgrade plus surround camera install; you have to love the power of the IID. For the future its going to be a mechanical springtime, both belts, a gearbox flush and enabling the 'flappy paddles'. I guess I need to speak to Geoff!!

New to site, but not to LandRovers
Morning all,
I have been lurking in the background for a while, enjoying the collective knowledge and experience to be found on the site (Very informative - thank you)
I thought it time to come out of the shadows and say "hello"
We pick up our 07 plate Discovery 3 HSE today, having spent months looking for the right one, eventually finding a 1 owner from new FSH & well maintained one.
Very pleased with it, apart from the "woefully" out of date SatNav
Currently living in Bath, Somerset, but moving soon to a smallholding in LLanelli - hence the need for a capable vehicle.
I look forward to saying "Hi"
Yours Aye

As a new to Land Rover owner I'm happy to find out all I can about my 2008 discovery 3. So will be looking at the Disco3.co.uk site on a regular basis I suspect. I'm 70 years old, married to my wife Mary for 46 years and so far love my discovery 3.

Now the proud owner of a 07 plate HSE, looking forward to trying to work out what all the buttons do.
I noticed on the way home how fast it is, passed everything apart from the fuel stations.....

Myles aside from the fuelling side, canβt say I noticed anything whizzing past on my way home in the newly acquired 07GS on Monday. I did make it to Tuesday before I had to refuel after the 40 mile drive home. π

Newbie Intro
Hello
I have purchased and will shortly be collecting a 2006 Discovery 3 2.7tdv6 HSE. I am aware that these vehicles take "a little maintenance" on occsion Therefore I thought where could I find a source of information run by individuals who are willing to share and discuss ideas, remedies and solutions in order to better our ownership experience. So here I am!
I work as a SMART repairer and so can remedy my own paintwork issues. However the D3 is a complex machine and I will be looking here for help when needed.
I am a trained vehicle mechanic and have a good grasp of technical matters....I should have postdated that statement back to 1990.
Let the fun begin!!
Kind Regards to all!
Mike
