Hello everyone.
Currently driving a Disco 4 2016 and a Discovery Sport 2016. Very happy with both but I am considering a 10 year old Disco 3 for my next car. I drive the sport as my daily drive and my wife has the Disco 4. when travelling together its always the Disco 4 despite the greater fuel consumption. Both very happy with the Disco 4.

Done!
I know that the previous two owners were very local, but i'm certain that they are not the Disco 3 members.
A lot of saved destinations around the Dumfries area though...

Just a short note to say hello from Norfolk. I will be buying a disco3 in the next two weeks
Just by way of history I learned to drive in a series 1 in 1976 and have had 2 since then. We currently have a freelander but want a bigger tow car, so I hope over the next few weeks be asking many questions.
Thanks

Only at 6 hours into discovery 3 ownership but loving it, such an experience, there’s a disco3.co.uk sticker in back window so may have belonged to old member. Just thought I’d introduce myself. Thanks Elliot

Just joined as recently bought my first Discovery LR3 which I knew had a couple of issues, one of which I resolved (re-setting the sunroof) by finding a solution on this site. Looking forward to joining in with the discussions.

HI, Discovery 3 , 2008, 57reg, GS. 61,000 mls.
This is the fourth Discovery we have had. One TDi 300, Two TD 5'S and now the Discovery 3.
All have been bought second hand.
Also over the years we have had a Series 2 ex RAF hard top 88", AN L reg series 3 hard top, dark green, A 1984 B reg 90 Petrol hardtop in royal blue, An F reg 1988 new 110 Turbo hard top in dark grey that did 82,000 miles in 20 months! , An H reg new 90 hard top 200tdi in red, A new K reg 90 300tdi hard top in red, A second hand 90 pickup diesel 84 B reg, and two secondhand 110 hard top 300tdi 94 m reg. and 92 l reg.
Obviously we like landrovers but we use them. All have towed Cattle trailers or Horse trailers or more lately a 12 feet by 6 feet flat trailer with excavator on board.

Hi, I have just purchased my first Discovery 4 a 2012 HSE with lots of extras, really pleased with it.
After only two weeks I noticed an intermittent vibration, quick search on here suggested it could be a problem with the EPB, stripped the discs off and found the right side brake shoe lever seized solid. New discs, shoes and pads fitted with the help of Bodsy's brake bible and problem solved.
I am currently a member of the FL2 site and previously the RRS site. Over the last 50 or so years I have owned lots of Series 2's and 3's several 300tdi's one TD5 and a Range Rover Sport. Although into my 70's I do all my own repairs and am currently nearing completion of a full body off nut and bolt restoration of my TR6.
I will try to get some pictures up when my son comes round to show me how to do it (not great on these computer things!)
