What you want is the Dooldu version of the Kakadu.

Land Cruiser bashing
You may knock the LC but I am very happy to say that I will be getting one in a few weeks time. My main reason for getting it is that its NOT a Land Rover.
My D3 has been in the dealers for repair for over 2 months in the last 2 years (EGR x 2, brake and electrical faults), the Range Rover I had before needed a new gearbox when it was 3 months old. Its a good job that they provide courtessy cars.
The Toyota is not my ideal car, but they are a reliable brand and I won't have to worry about calling out Land Rover Assist when I go out in it.
I will keep in touch with LR products and know that I will want another one, but they need to improve the reliability first. The Faults and Fixes for D4 on this website is enough to put me off for now.

I keep hearing about the Prado and I'm a bit confused (wait for it), but what does a Kakado "Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

I quite like the Prado/LandCruiser...
The old model was not as good as the Disco3 on the road... but I am sure they have gone up with the new model.
Sorry GuysArno

Good to see that Toyota are equal opportunity employers, although outsourcing the exterior design to the RNIB was a brave decision. Also nice to see the use of that Korean design team they've had mothballed since 1978 for the interior.
Lush I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

well since I got no - yes no replies when this was 1st posted - I reproduce my mini review from the 15/11
New Landcruiser LC5 - mini review
drove one for 2 hours yesterday
not totally unimpressive - well screwed together but underpowered, brakes good, 6/7th seats a bit smaller than disco, ride not poor but not disco, quiet and refined, not a squeak or rattle anywhere
but overall short of 3, and well short of 4, levels considering it's about the same price
however I would prefer Land Rover to move just one more step up to get the the 'bullet proof and carved from granite' reputation and feeling that Toyota seem to have
still not good enough to make me consider change, (unless it's to a 4) especially as I have had no reliability issues
