Was that the Cneifion Arete you were heading up ? Great route if you were, done it many times as part of my MLC..
Full marks that man I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

We did not. It was "proper blustery" and none of us really fancied that in the conditions I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Credit Reference agencies
Checking my credit file (as you do these days) this morning when I noticed an address on there that I didn't recognise and was in an area where I have never lived, lodged a dispute regarding the address..
Response back was priceless " We need you to provide evidence that you haven't lived at that address or that you are not connected with that address in any way, we have now closed the dispute."
Bear in mind they won't tell me when this information was lodged or by whom... pretty difficult to dispute something that's completely wrong... and with a company that won't allow you time to provide that information... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Suggest to them that they read up on the burden of proof. My favourite summation:
"The burden of proof is always on the person making an assertion or proposition. Shifting the burden of proof, a special case of argumentum ad ignorantium, is the fallacy of putting the burden of proof on the person who denies or questions the assertion being made. The source of the fallacy is the assumption that something is true unless proven otherwise. "I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

To prove the negative (in your case that you did NOT at any time live at that address) is pretty dificult; try proving that Santa Claus does not exist...

Had similar with Experian, noticed a relative, their addresses and financial details were mixed up with my credit record reported it to Experian (I am with Clearscore but you have to report problems to Experian) and they at first said all was correct (after a month of investigation), replied to their email saying how could a credit report for one individual also list other family members!
I also reported the problem to my Bank.
After another 2 weeks got a reply apologizing and saying my credit report would be corrected, errors were caused by a similar surname (I have a double barrel surname, they don't). Sounds very improbable to me as their birthdates are nothing like mine.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Bloody COVID test for travel!
When I flew back to work in September the NHS Covid test (that was for free) was sufficient for me to fly.
Now, at the airports, they won't accept this and I have to pay £145 for an online kit that I have to administer to myself (which is exactly the same as the NHS kit!) and post it for this princely sum!
The result is the same and I wonder where all this money is going!!2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)

1) Journey home today from Liverpool. Absolutely it down on M6, sheets of water running across motorway and...... they were gritting the motorway
2) with no lights on at all, not even DRL’s - one in a silver knackered Passat was, literally, invisible
3) usual numpties who assume their ‘automatic lights’ means that all lights on not just their DRL’s (and those in poverty spec cars either have a dull yellow glow in headlamp bowl or tiny ‘no watt’ sidelights only)

COVID testing. Child with a temperature last night. Test at eight this morning, ten minutes from home, result (negative thank goodness) by the end of the afternoon. All done by the NHS for free.
Gives me NOTHING to complain about, at all. NOTHING!
