whats it worth ??
I am getting closer to considering possibly maybe , selling my D3.
P.S - sorry for the long post - I dont have time to write a short one ..
Question is, whats it worth.... and should i sell it with all the bits..
Its a July2006 HSE Auto
135K miles FSH

4 x 140 Light Force driving lamps mounted under A-Bar
Warn 9.5 winch

RLD aliminium sill protectors/sliders
Front runner roof rack + 10 tie down bolts
4 x bosch 100w driving lamps on rack
amber hazard strobes on rack
spare wheel carrier for rack
Aux Battery with 12v outlet on front bumper
National Lunar Split charge system
12v outlet in rear bumper sufficent to run a winch/jump start a vehicle
Webasto remote FBH including webasto oval control and GSM TEXT activation
GSM TEXT activation also can switch on the Heated Front Windscreen
Blackvue with isolation switch from aux battery
5 x 12v aux power outlets in boot fed from Aux battery
Mobile CCTV system with cameras (160Gb) with IR Remote control (this the remote is a bit temremental; though)
1) forward facing on dashboard
2) rear facing on roof rack
3) and intergral to boot handle with view of bumper and tow bar
4 x images displayed on Mirror monitor and remote controlled
Extra Wheels : 6 x 17inch wheels with cooper STs (2 brand new) other 4 with approx 5,000 miles
+ Twisted perfomance stainless steal large bore exhaust with standard tailpipes - none of this chrome blingy crap
Mechanically its is in good condition and no expense has been spared keeping it maintained and serviced - I have a pile of invoices etc in an A4 box about 3 inches thick. All invoices since car was new Ive kept. my local garage tells me ive spent about 5K on it in the last 12 months - but ive been too scared to check in case its more !! its practically a new car - maintenance items are but no limited to :
wheel bearing all round
Front lower suspension bushes/wishbones
ARB drop arms
tie rods and ends
ARB bushes all round
Rear lower suspension bushes/wishbone
rear half shaft diff seals
the front seats have been covered with LR seats covers from almost new so are in excellant condition. rear seats are hardly ever used so no kids chewing gum or moldy crisp stains.
it had a bit of a respray/polish a couple of years ago to get rid of some bramble rash and i could look to get it done again if the paint work is of concern. its got a little bit of bramble rash that wont take long for a professional polishy chap to remove - just havnt got around to getting it done.
So should I sell it with all this stuff or strip it back and turn it into a basic HSE. I'll need to buy a new front bumper, rear bumper, put the old sills back on, strip out all the wiring and replace the interior radio surround (cos thats where the strobe/blackvue switches are).
It'll take me about 6 days to strip it all back i reckon. it is worth it , or am i better selling it all complete, and what would you good folks pay if you were looking to buy.

IMHO you will get more for the vehicle if you strip it and sell the parts seperately. Unless you happen to come accross someone who is prepared to pay the value of an expedition prepared vehicle.

i didnt want to strip it all as it'll take me ages and i need to spend about £1k to replace the bits that have been cut/drilled.

I would think you would be better off stripping it.
If nothing else, you will narrow down any possible buyers if you keep it as it is today.
(and I want the EVS strobes...Bodsy doesn't need them...)The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
