My first one went at about 30k miles on my car, just changed one on SWMBO's car at 68k.

replaced my first one on front drivers side at something like 70,000km. replaced exact same one about 2 months later. all back in the day of warranty mind. never had change one since. when my tyres threads get low, i get a humm noise and think its the bearing too for a while until i realsie its the tyres.

I thought I had a rear n/s wheel bearing failed on me the other day, lots of play in the wheel when you pushed and pulled at it, turn out a bush has worn out in the top suspension arm.
