Wheel bearing or track rod end..

Just jacked my D3 up, to see if I could diagnose a wobble/outside edge tyre wear..

I have done so and I have pretty bad side to side play (how this wasn’t picked up in it’s MOT 500 miles ago, I’ll never know). I couldn’t seem to get any top to bottom play. There was a slight clunking that went with the play.

My suspects are track rod ends, play in ball joint or wheel bearing, does anyone have an opinion from the info I’ve given?

If it was track rod ends, would I be best replacing complete track rods or just ends?

Thanks for any advice Smile

Confirmed as steering rack ends thanks to brother in law, he’s doing them for me Saturday morning.

Ordered from Advanced Factors, thanks for the link Smile

Had the rods changed today, what a difference. The car feels really planted and solid now, it really handled totally different. Well worth the £80 Smile
