I just had one done, so murphy's law says the other will go either just before, or during one of my trips abroad this year.

Can the rears be replaced 'in the field'? Is it worth taking a spare rear to Morocco?

Gareth,
I would get it sorted asap.
my rear bearing failed in France last year and the total bill was £1300 as it wrecked hub, discs, suspension knuckle, EPB, speed sensor etc....... and we were stuck in Narbonne for 6 days whislt the parts arrived from UKDuncan

Mine went about 8 months ago, and now I have play on the other side.
Last one covered under extended warranty so hoping this will be too...
I had three wheel bearings replaced, all at the same time last year - and the last one (rear) went on Monday. Though it went big style and the wheel is decidedly loose!Mark.
