wheel clearance

Well -I thought I might have an issue when I put RRS 19" alloys on my D3, with only a fingers thickness clearance between the wheel rim and the suspension upright, but I've just got a base D3 as a courtesy car, and theres even less gap between the 17" alloy and the brake calipers. Makes my clearance look huge.

No probs with RRS 19's after 5k miles now. (255/55x19 tyres fitted)

My HSE alloys have MTr's on so I have just invested in a set of RRS 19" alloys to run road tyres (255/55/19) on I'm aware clearance is tight but it's ok. this is because the D3 19" is 8J maybe 8.5J but the RRS is 9J. Problems do occur thou if you try the MTRs on the RRS rims.
