I have been today to have my wheels rotated to get even tyre ware. I use a garage where my son works as get a good price. We have noticed that 1 wheel lug on each corner seems a little larger than 22mm, but not quite 23mm. Is this usual. The garage (even though it's my son) did not torque when refitting. Not a problem, I will do it when I get home. On trying to loosen the nuts I split the wrench that comes part of the LR kit. I ended up purchasing a long bar to loosen them but as suggested earlier a 22mm socket does not go on one wheel without knocking it on with a hammer.
So a couple of questions.
1) should I get new lug nuts for the ones that are over size, should they be genuine LR or will OEM be fine.

Search for "swollen nuts" and all will be revealed. You need new nuts and a proper wrench/breaker bar, not the crap that LR dish out/sell. Plus I'd find a better garage regardless of family ties or cheapness, not torquing up nuts could easily lead to a nasty incident!

Sounds like your suffering from same issue a lot of us suffer with "swollen nuts"
I've just swapped my wheels over & about 7 of mine were swollen, so had to hammer the socket on, see if you can take back & get sorted under warranty, as this is an issue that all of us suffer

I carry a breaker bar under my rear seats with two sockets, one 22mm and the other is imperial but I forget the size at the moment, just in case I have 'swollen nut syndrome'
It means I don't have to use the LR wheel brace too

Me too, I think the imperial one is 7/8, but would need to go and check

The old 7/8 AF. is about 22.5mm so allows for a bit of swell

If you use a six flat socket as against a 12 flat I think that your swelling issue will not occur.
