Wheel refurbishment

Evening guys
I am contemplating painting my wheels , I can do s good job with rattle cans
Done a few sets on the 90s we also run
My question is does the wheel have to go back on from the place it came from , I just wondered about the 4 wheel alignment being effected

I'd suggest it depends how the car was aligned / balanced previously. If you have had the full Hunter alignment / balancing experience including road force wheel balancing they will have paired the wheel sets for the best alignment / balance.

If you put them on in a different order to how they were matched it's no showstopper but you're not going to get the best result.

This is another reason its better to balance new tyres after they've been run on the road, it makes sure the tyre & wheel are seated properly. I remember being involved in this at Land Rover as we were getting lots of warranty claims for wheel balance . Rotating the wheel/tyre assembly under load before balancing reduced the claims and it also checked that the wall stiffness was within tolerance.
