Wheel refurbishment

The wheels on my d3 look sad! Between brake pad dust and what looks like a”varnish” I cannot get them clean. Has any one got a solution to this ( no pun intended”). Fronts are the worst.
Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

What have you tried?

Myself, I’ve used ValetPRO Dragon’s breath and a wheel brush with great success.

The ‘varnish’ you describe may be the lacquer coming off by the sound of it. Sad
