Although this is hyjacking the thread, it can't work for the simple fact it can't mix properly, so whatever is going through the engine would only be in pockets not evenly distributed.

Perhaps you should add Quicksilver Marine 2-stroke Oil..
it will probably be able to wade better through deeper water as well Duncan

Actually, provided you use mineral and not semi/synth, it mixes perfectly well. Just as it does with petrol.PAGODA

is there any 2T on opie oils?
i had to laugh at the spend 5 min reading the freel2 line, there is a lot of useful information on what oils to use or not to use, but after trying it on my old fl2, i had no difference at all
Appart from people using it and having no documented problems, (obviously they wouldn't say to a garage "Oh i added some of that 2T to my engine and it broke")
I can't see why there are no oil companys saying do this, i suppose is because they would be saying our fuels great, but you can make it better if you add x,y or z to it, maybe Shell do add something to make they fuel save stuff
There is the annoying problem that 2T tends to be red. Whether it would be enough for an over-zealous dipper to hold your car pending further tests for the correct chemical signature of true "red" diesel (which obviously it isn't) is of course another matter.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I used 2 stroke oil in my old car, as I was tempted by the less smoke part (was a re-mapped Fabia vRS, and V. smokey )
Bit sceptical at first, but at £5 for a bottle, worth a punt I reckoned...
Took about 3 tanks of fuel ( approx 1500 miles) before I noticed a difference, but what a difference it made!
There was no visible smoke at all under full throttle, and only a light haze when pulling away from a junction quickly (only at night when it was higlighted by the cars lights behind me, nothing at all during the day)
Engine seemed to start easier and ran smoother, as well as an extra 5-6 mpg
I even ran a whole bottle of Millers DPS4 (or whatever it was called) before trying 2T, which made no difference at all IMHO
