| Which mud tyres for our DISCO3? |

I forward a message of our Italian collegue Umberto55 but the problem seems identical for a lot of ppl here...
"With our DISCO3 we got a serious problem in Italy...
We commony use wheels with 17, 18 and 19".... but there are not tyres brand that have specific Mud tyres for our measure indicated on technical specification rules, to allow us to make offroad in safety.
The unique measure that is close to the admitted for our cars is the 235/65R17 H111... unfortunately rebuild... (on the 17" wheels we use the 235/70).
On contrary, in this Forum I have noticed several video form not-italian owner that has really nice Mud tyres...
In Italy also Land Rover Register do not have solution for this problem...
I really appreciate if someone can give us tips for all who, like me, need to mount real Mud tyres... even address of foreign supplier (England??... Germany?...)

Hi,
As I see no solution for 18" wheels ( I mean solution in recommended size or very close as for user manual )
In 19" - Wrangler MTR 255/55/19 - no problem..... if you have its at local market and ready to go on to 19"
in 17" there is Cooper STT new in 245/70/17 which is very close to stock 235/70.17/ WBR

AT2's are good for the 18" wheels.
Made by General Grabber. Should be available in Spain by now.

AT2's are not mud tyres..... (AT means 'all terrain'  )
Cooper STT's or Goodyear MT/R's are mud tyres 
If there is enough demand, I can look into shipping tyres to Italy (or even Spain)

I know  but they are one of the few options that actually fit the D3's 18" wheels AFAIK.

 yep the previous batch of pilgrims is getting a wee bit old!
I would be in the market for 5 and I know at least 1 other person on the site would also be interested (I will have to look up the name though). Let me know if you think it is worth while for 10 or so tires...ah tyres 2007 LR3 HSE - Zermatt Silver

well if you've got one, use it
Visited some National Trust properties recently and they have started to use these around various locations. Gives you access to to information etc. Pretty cool I think and causes great interest from luddites standing near by
At one place the staff (volunteers) had no clue what they were. They had been there for a few months and no one had told them what they were for
