Hi all, My D3 base model (actually an Irish commercial spec) needs a new set of boots.
Is there a concensus please as to what I should get? Usage is probably 80% road, 20% off-road; I've done 23k miles in a year.
Suggestions for sizes and types welcomed!
Cheers
Andy.

Wranglers on mine have always serve well. Others with Scorpions will say the same about theirs I'm sure.
Have a look on ebay though as you can pick up a set wheels with new tyres for less than two new tyres
Owner buy their D3 / RRS and then upgrade to bigger wheels... selling off their nearly un-used base / standard wheels for not a lot.

Wouldn't get the wranglers; mine are all but gone at 25,000kms. I hear Perelli Scorpions are worse.
There is a wide range of tyres available for the 17" wheels, not so my 18"ers.
I am waiting for the General Grabbers, even if it means putting some second hand tyres on till they arrive. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

my Wranglers last a good 25K miles. Scorpions are softer so will wear faster.
D3 has done 56K miles now and I have only just had new wheels with what is effectively the 3rd new set on - they came included via ebay The set on my 18's in the garage are still good for about 5K miles.
Maybe the roads here are better
Also many of my miles are motorway which helps.
