Will 33x12.50R18 tires fit? |
|
Just out of curiousity, will 33/12.50r18 tires fit on our discos/lr3s. Clearly some trimming will have to be done but I'm just wondering because there are some very nice aggressive tires out there in that size.

I don't think that the LR3 18" wheels can hold these huge tires and they will just rub everywhere, this size equals 315/60/18 in the metric size!
here is a link to convert the metric/inches tire sizes.

and that's my best tire/wheel calculator link.

Haha, boy is my face red......o well, just ordered a set of cooper STT's and they are going to be slapped on tomorrow. And I told the tire place that they will rub and they agreed to do the trimming necessary. Can't wait to finally take this thing wheeling after a year of ownership.

They're gonna rub for sure, maybe not at the sides, but definitely at the front of the rear wheel arch, where you have a bit of plastic sticking out. You have 8/10" more height than the 375/65 STT's I run sometimes, and they do rub when fully loaded.

no no, sorry, when I meant that i ordered cooper stt's I ordered the size that everyone else is using which is the 275/65 R18s. The tire size that I put in the post originally was just out of curiosity. Sorry about the confusion.
