Will D3 wheels fit a D1

Does anyone know whether 18" Discovery 3 wheels can be fitted to a 1993 V8 Discovery 1?

Also can a D1 take 255/55 18 Tyres?

I think on D1's 235 or 245 was the max width before you had to start getting your jigsaw out to the arches,

Thanks guys, but, this D1 has several inches of lift - the main question is whether the studs and offset are the OK - the wheel arches are sacraficial...

No, D1 has different PCD (needs hub adaptors)
D1 uses same PCD as defender

D2 is same PCD as D3 but different centre dia. (needs spigot rings to fit D3 wheels)

D2 wheels don't fit D3 (without the use of a lathe Shocked ) for the same reason.

(I think)

I had D3 wheels on my D2, you need the spigot ring and set of nuts (same thread but different bolt o/d

D1 as has been said has a different PCD to the D2, you can get adaptor rings - simmonites I think sell them.
