Will a MY10 engine fit my MY05 d3?
Just curious as to whether a complete engine/turbo/egr/pipework make an easy fit to my beloved
If not what mods might we need to make?

I think he is looking at ebay, there is a MY 2011 2.7 from a RRS with 18 miles on it, poor guy must have driven out the showroom and virtually straight into something! Good price compared to new.

However, if you get a complete engine, everything needs changed over. The EGR coolers and valves are different, the crankcase breathers are different, coolant hoses are different, HPFP and most (if not all) fuel pipes are different
Not really an issue if you know that all your components are good, just a PITA swapping everything over

Everything is different between 05+06MY, to 07MY>onwards
All you can really use is the basic engine...
As for the 2.7 in the D4, would have though it would be the same again. May be some extra sensors etc as it changed again at 09MY I believe...My D3 Build Thread

never fails to amaze me how helpful LRUK tech people are when asked the question what might need to be altered/replaced:
