Suspension Fault - Solved

I had a 'Suspension Fault' warning on the dash today [D4 2013]. The suspension appeared to be going up and down, although the front seemed a bit low. The fault was present as soon as the car was started and power cycling didn't clear it.

Having had a quick look, I found that the wiring to the front-LH height sensor had degraded as it exits the loom with the cores of one of the wires having broken completely. Must have been degraded for a while as the wires were pretty corroded. The wiring to the front-RH level sensor is different and doesn't seem to be subject to the same stress.

A few slightly dodgy solder joints, some heat shrinking tubing and some self-amalgamating loom tape later and it's all fixed [touch wood]! Very Happy

Just thought I'd add this in case anyone else gets the same symptoms.
