I have a mate who is a mechanic and services my D3. It would be useful to have service reminder reset.
I would quite like one.
So who is winning at the moment? Have we got confirmation on miles or days yet?D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Stu, why use your mate to service your D3. Ahh, maybe it's because it's someone you trust but doesn't want to fork out £8k+ to reset your service reminder. So a reset tool would be the best option, right
I haven't seen BMW or VAG panic when service reset tools hit ebay and local motor factors. Maybe they're intelligent enough to realise folk take their vehicles where they choose to have them serviced

At the moment its miles or days and i will check out my notes to see if there is a conversion that can be applied.
if not guess we will have to have 2 prizes
I will also have a look and see if there is actually a current winner out there.
Actually our SRT has taken some time to start selling in anything like large quantities, and strangely enough the Americans seem to love them.

I looked at the ability to convert days to miles and vice versa, and it is possible, but in the season of good will, i think a prize for the highest overdue distance and another for days overdue is in order, plus the offer of a runner up in each category for site funds as mentioned.

TBH the take up and interest in the SRT has been a bit subdued on this board, but over the other side of the pond we have been supplying loads to lots of very impressed buyers, just today we fixed a bug that was giving problems to later L322 buyers as well, and i have to say that after fixing that and watching it in action even i was impressed at how astoundingly simple and yet capable they really are. So much so that i had to pinch myself. The dealer i was working at was so impressed at how easy we made it over how much trouble they went through to do it, that he was begging us to make a dealer version.
You simply decide what you want as a next reminder from the table provided, 5 doing what a dealers IDS does, dial in the appropriate setting on the dial, plug it into the OBDII diagnostic connector, you get a few blue flashes on the LED to say its working, then a Green to say its done. Then you unplug it and thats it !!!
Reminder gone, desired period to next reminder programmed in, what more could anyone want.

ok, so i realise that there is some days left but i'll buy busy with work etc over the next few weeks so here are my photos, sorry for rubbish quality but its from my mobile. before you all ask the disco is serviced by my wife workshop every 6 months but i refuse to pay a dealer any cash unless i really really need to.

Just a reminder that this competition is now not far off closing and therefore almost due for draw.
There are two prizes of free BBS Service reset tools, one for highest overdue milage and one for furthest overdue distance.
All you need to do is capture your overdue amount on camera and post up a picture.
