Winch Fitting Question

Hi guys,
Just a quick question for those of you that have fitted the LR winch kit.

I'm having a bit of a problem, or more so am confused about one or two things in the instructions.

The instructions appear to show what I think is a piece of plastic ductiing that attaches to the back of the bumper bar. You are required to cut a hole in the top of this to allow wires in to the control box. However, I don't think I have this piece of ducting on my D3. Instead I've got what seems to be a much larger arrangement of ducting which is screwed into the radiator mount at either side. I can get out one screw, but the other would be quite a lot of work (seems to require removal of the coolant tank, and power steering tanks for access). The instructions also seem to indicate that the sides of this part will just come off, but I'd need to do some major cutting on mine I think. The presence of the ducting is also making it a pain to get the bolts in for the brackets and it was quite difficult to reroute the airsuspension pipes. I've looked at GTR, and it just says "Remove the front bumper air ducting. "

Mine looks like this (pic from christylers gallery)

I'm probably just getting overly confused about something simple, but would appreciate a second opinion before going futher.

Thanks,
Brendan

Just cut the ducting section between the two 'U' shapes in the rubber lip, it needs to be about 150mm deep from memory and can be done in situ with an electric jigsaw or a padsaw

OK, thanks guys, I guess the sides of it don't need removing then? Was just getting confused over the way it looked in the diagrams. Sometimes these LR instructions could do with just 1 word to help things. Wink
