Window sun shades for Children

Hey Guys,

We are heading to spain and would like to get good sun shields for the windows for the D4. We have privacy glass but it will not keep the direct sun light shinning in.

The children are 6months and 2yrs ....

Can anyone recommend any?

We have some £5 sucker ones on at the moment but they are small and light gets in...

Any advice would be appreciated! Thumbs Up

I'm sure they will. The D4 is just a face lifted D3. I've had a set in for 5+ years and only just replacing them.

I'll second the recommendation for these. I have them in the boot to keep it cooler for the dogs and have had mine fitted for around 8 years. Rear visibility isn't pin-sharp when looking through these in the mirror, but you can certainly see approaching traffic, cyclists etc.

I have these blinds the same as moo posted above. I'm only using the 2nd & 3rd row window blinds but they work great. Fit is OK but the little self adhesive brackets for the 2nd row wont stay on no matter what adhesive pads I try. I think the interior plastics have been soaked in silicone rubbish at some point. 3rd row just wedge in place perfectly.

These combined with factory tints do well to stop the worst of it but the sunlight still gets in enough to make baby squint his eyes.

Used to have these on previous cars and even went down to the factory to have a set made for a Peugeot 806.
Good for leaving in place and opening the windows for some fresh air Smile

Anybody want the 806 set?? No use to me anymore..

If only I'd seen this earlier - I have a spare set now my D3 has gone. You wont regret it though - they're excellent. We used them for two weeks in France last year during the heatwave and they were great.

Just be careful not to do what I did and open the window while driving with them fitted (and then realise your mistake and close it again). The blind got trapped in the closing window and buckled slightly. Try as I might I could not straighten it perfectly again Sad. It still worked fine but the tiny kink reminded me of my own stupidity ever time I opened that door...

You should be able to open and close the windows without issue? that's one of their selling points?

You can open and close them okay but don't try driving with them open. That was my mistake.

Ok, are they useable and if so what would you want for them?

Absolutely usable. It was only one blind and it has a very slight bend in the lower rail. You'd hardly notice it TBH.

I'd take £40 (and will get some photos so you can see what I mean) but I think shipping could be a problem...
