Windscreen condensation (D3 not D4, posted in wrong place!)
Not that I've had the car that long, but I've noticed the inside of the windscreen getting condensation on the inside especially on the bottom half. Never seen this before, but it seems to have happened after the dealers had the car in twice to do the brake recall. They washed the car aftwerwards and they'd almost certianly have used a pressure washer. I'm wondering if water has been forced inside and the heat internally against the cold outside is causing condenstation to form.
The car's not being used much at the moment, so it's sitting on the drive, locked. No-one's been in it since I wiped it away the last time, so no heavy breathing or wet clothes, dogs etc.
Any point running a dehumidifier inside for a few hours? I can borrow a domestic one.

I frequently get this on a cold but sunny day. Looking at the other cars in the works carpark, they all have the same problem. Some cars are worse than others, my last Focus was really bad.

Not uncommon in cars with wet carpets.
I wonder if the cleaners were a bit over-zealous in cleaning the inside edges of the door & sill areas with a jet wash and wet the carpets through. I've heard of it happening before.Clive

Carpets seem dry... but then I dont have a sunroof
Yeah, I know some cars are worse then others, my company car is a real pain first thing in the morning as I cant see out of the windscreen at all some days and it will only clear once the heater warms up enough to blow hot air.
Just that I'd not seen it happen before now.
Think I'll throw a dehumidifier in there the weekend and see what I can suck out.

Had a big problem during the snow when the kids were bringing loads into the car with them.......couple of decent sunny days seems to have sorted it out ....think its just that time of year with large temperature differences coupled with some decent downpours ?"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Will check the pollen filter, found it not so long ago when having a rummage around. She's in for a service (so I guess ££££££££££££ ) so I assume the filter will be replaced anyway. Be interesting to see if it's damp at the moment though
