Wipers - service position for cleaning

Can anyone advise how to get the front wipers on a D4 (MY12) to the service position for cleaning the windscreen ?

Never heard of that being possible. It would be useful if it was but the powers that be decided you don't need it and don't mind scraping your paintwork to clean the.

Not sure if it's the same as on a D3, but when I want the wipers to stop at the top, I set them on slow continuous and pull the appropriate fuse when they get to the top.

Never heard of "service Position" though

I posted the procedure that was used on my XF in the tips section a while back. ISTR the mods moved it and can't find it again now but it involved pulling back the stalk and turning the ignition on. I assume the D4 may need it knocking down to the single wipe and switch ignition on instead due to the rear wipe. 2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

I didnt think the D3/4

had this feature..?
my VW golf parks the front wipers vertical......as you cant de ice the lower screen or change blades with them in a parked position. Good feature.
My Jag XK hasnt got this & if you are unlucky enough to get ice around the wiper arm base its a real

to remove.... BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
