What is this wire and plug?
I have been out this evening to top up my coolant and god knows how I haven’t noticed it before but, I have an oem looking plug with a black and a red wire. The wires are taped together by electrical tape. The plug is just sat ontop of the FHB. Does anyone have any ideas what it might lead to?

C2034 only appears on the D4 diagrams, and it is indeed for the water diverter valve.
Maybe on a D3 it's a hangover from the intended Settings Menu + FBH dash icon functionality, but never made it to production.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

It is however on this set of LR3 diagrams (dated 2004), as well as a Telestart receiver

I know this connector is there on D3s (it’s on my 06MY as well) but I never knew it was for a water diverter until today - I’ve never seen it on D3 diagrams until I turned up that set of really early LR3 ones 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
