wire through roof lining D4

Hi Folks,

tried to run a standard fish through the roof lining of my D4 so I could pull a small cable through but no joy in getting the fish all the way through.
Has anyone got any tips on how to do this/different implement etc. as I really don't want to have to drop the lining unless I have to.
I'm only trying to wire up a reverse camera so it's nothing too exciting.
Thanks in advance

I used electricians fibreglass rods on a D3 and got from the back to a pillar no problem.

I’m hooking the rear view camera to the rear view mirror which is why I’m going via the roof lining.

That’s exactly what I used but just can’t get it from the back to the front. Next option is to glue a marble to the front of the fish to help it ‘navigate’

I ran mine OK down the nearside under the roof. Started at the back, which I think helps.

Bend a bit of wire then tape that to the end, helps it to not catch on anything.

I too ran a cable along to the n/s A pillar, along the inside edge of the roofline right to the back then along the inside rear edge of the liner to the centre. You can’t see the cable nor hear any rattling. To do this took 20 minutes. Why make it hard for yourself without gaining any additional benefit??
