Our Disco which has been an amazing workhorse gave up the ghost a little while back when the oil pump did its thing and pooped itself.
I don't have a lift or access to one so the heads are coming off in situ. The drivers side head is good to go but the wiring harness bracket is giving me a little trouble. Where's best to access it from? Underside or above? I've managed to get two bolts out but I'm guessing there's another somewhere as the head doesn't want to lift off at the rear and this seems the stopping point.
Does anyone have a picture of the bolt layout?
Thanks in advance!

there are 2 breather pipes (gearbox and tx box) that are bolted to the rear of the head.
get an 8mm spanner in there (from the top)
once the head is lifted up off the dowls, pull it towards the centre of the Vee

Thanks mate, also took the 10mms off in error. They were tough
I did a leak down test and it gave the impression that the valves were leaking on the inlet, I could even hear a decent amount of air escaping from the inlet but the valves look fine now they're on the bench...
Any advice before I tackle the other side? I really don't want to pull the head if I don't have to, I think I'd also cry if I did a compression test once it was all together and found that I had to strip it down again. Yes I want my cake and eat it.

If you turn the head upside down and put a liquid eg diesel petrol on top of the valves.
If it stays there valves are sealed.
I don’t know the history of your prob.
Passenger side is a nightmare. So don’t start unless you are sure of a problem
Edit. Oh tensioner Failure.
Can you see any valve marks on the pistons ?
Have you changed the oil pump get

Haven't sent the camera into the bore yet. I guess I need to do everything I did with this side. Inspect piston, leak down test, visual inspection from above?
Pumps not changed yet, going to order it today. I've seen people recommend ARP head bolts, I've always used them on other engine rebuilds, any suggestions on where to get them?

I guess it would be sensible to endoscope the other side before ordering pump.
The left side needs the rear belt removing.
You need to remove the belt cover back which is a right pain.
And melt with soldering iron, an area of the cover, to gain access to the cam cap end bolts.
Remove cam and belt rear cover as one lump

Pump, pulleys, belts and gaskets are on order. I'm invested already.
This car will roll out of the workshop even if I have to pipe engine noises into the cab to convince the wife its working so be it!
Other side sounds like a nightmare, I've got a spare head and no time restraints at the moment so no huge pressure. The drivers side bore looks amazing though for an engine that's done nearly 200k, you can still see the honing marks.
