At wits end.
So this engine I fitted a week or two ago appears to have a cracked block or head now.
Do the blocks crack or is it a common fault for the head?
It’s not the EGR coolers which I have changed both today.
I’m getting no mayo in cap or on stick. No steam out the exhaust, no misfire. So I am really losing the will with this.
Any thoughts? Go for another engine or take both heads off and swap for good ones?

Sorry, cooling system is pressuring and forcing coolant out. Bubbles coming up from bottom of header tank

Leaky EGR valve coolers, leaky oil cooler in the Vee of the engine, head gasket?
Not heard of head cracking issues, but doesn't mean it does not happen.Series one 1949 - in bits, chassis is strapped to the ceiling in my garage (beside the canoe)

Done EGR coolers. No change.
Doubt it’s oil cooler as I’m getting combustion gasses over pressurising the header tank, also no oil/water mix.

1 million percent.
The second you start it the system has a large amount of pressure in it if you try to remove the cap. It’s bubbling like crazy and pushing water out.

I guess you can remove the injectors.
Pressurise the coolant system with a pump in the cap. Leave for an hour, see if it drops
Then inspect down the cylinders to see if one filled with water. (Or turn engine over by hand)
To save time you could just remove drivers side injectors first , and hope it’s the easy side head gasket gone.

You could try a sniffer test on the coolant reservoir but that would only confirm or otherwise head gasket/EGR cooler failure. Pete's suggestion would indicate which bank has failed if it's a head gasket.
It does sound like a badly blown head gasket but if I recall correctly was this not a "running" engine you bought from the breaker?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
