Xanadoo Upper Basket - like the mantec

Just seen the video on Facebook of the new xanadoo basket that fits at the top - similar to the mantec one and I have to say it looks awesome!

It has a seatbelt type catch and gas struts to assist and it drops down.

Not sure on pricing or delivery etc but it takes the Mantec one I had before (now in car heaven as it went up with my previous D3) to a whole new level.

Not sure on the linking policy so I will let people google for it..

Looks really good. Wonder if it will fit with a LR Rear barrier?

Is it possible to use the Upper Boot Basket AND have someone sit in the two rear seats? Will the passengers have enough head room? It's hard to tell from the pics on the Xandoo website.

Someone on FB said it’s possible (can’t find the post) as long as the person sitting isn’t an adult.

I have one fitted. You can certainly fit someone in. No problem. I would say maximum height of about 5ft 10 inches to be comfortable, however, someone taller could sit in but leaning away but realistically how often does one have adults of that size in the third row for long periods?

I have had my 5ft 8inch son in the back all the way to the alps with the mantec one in (similar dimensions).

Thanks. The people I had in mind to sit in the back are not adult but they are taller than 98% of adults! Son No 1 is 6ft3 or 4, and son no 2 is 6ft. Ages 15 and 13 respectively. My fault really for feeding them so well.
