You may get any of the LR GTR info on line, for about 10 quid for a day, instead of 65 to the stealers!

Thanks Wiggs,
My left light sticks open sometimes so I think it is a sticky shutter. But I still don't know what the shutter is. Is it number 7 in the drawing? Roel

My headlights have faulted yet again - both fail to do the little dance at start-up and the right light shutter fails to close after main beam until dislodged by pot holes or thump.
Assuming all taken care of again wether by LR warranty or parts warranty, this will be set number 7. As I seem to be getting through the lights at the rate of a new set every 6-8 weeks, there must be something more than underuse going on.
When I called in at the dealer, they reckon there maybe quite a few failed units out there, but drivers are not noticing and may be in for an expensive shock come MOT should the car be out of warranty at the time and fail. Not all faults cause the light on the dashboard to illuminate and not all units fail to the degree that you think it's still on main beam.
If you have adpatives - might be worth chencking they really are working and are aligned correctly. D3 HSE V8...

Its been a couple of months now since the LR went in to have someone look at the lights.
He didnt know why they werent dipping , but suggested using them manually rather than automatic.
Would you believe it , ever since we have been using the switch manually(on /Off) they have performed without a hitch.!!
I dont know if he moved the wiring etc when trying to trace the problem or wether it is just the fact the switch is being used differently but they now work .
Thanks for all the advice and fingers crossed this is the end of the problem

Hi All
If I am correct the shutter mechanisim is part of the bulb as in any H4 aftermarket Hid conversion and I would assume that this bulb could be replaced instead of the full headlight has anyone had a headlight to bits yet
cheers
