Xenon headlight very weak beam |
|
05 disco with non moving xenons, recently noticed that the beam is still nice and bright white but points at the floor about 8ft off the front bumper so getting virtually no road illumination just literally over a car length in front, bit hairy driving home through back roads virtually cant see the bends etc
Can they be adjusted up. Or are they knackered? Cheers

Hi Met,
Yes they can be adjusted, just go to a MOT station and they can check them and align if necessary!
The other thing is the bulb might just be on its way out, they are expensive from LR but you can get the same philips bulb from hids4u a sponsor on here!
Xenon bulbs are good and peak brightness at 1000 hours use, after that over a period of time diminish, however as you describe you still get a nice white spot,my monies on alignment.

Just found this http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...stment.pdf
Mine has air suspension but not adaptive headlights I don't think? Its a 2005 s model? Will have a look at the back of the units this eve against the garage door with dipped beam and see what adjustment I can get
