Xenon vs Bulbs
Hi.
I know a lot of threads have been written about this but keen to get some clarity.
I have been thinking about swapping the standard lights on SWMBO's D3 to Xenon as they seem a little dull to me
Issue I have is that I have not long taken delivery of my new Merc which has Xenon option. The lights are brilliant but there is one real issue. So many people flash me when coming towards me as they think I have full beam on. When I then flash them back to indicate I dont - I can see them go blind. It wasnt so much of an issue in the late summer but now I go out in the dark and come home in the dark its much more noticeable. I seem to be for ever getting flashed.
Therefore the question is :--
If I keep her headlights as they are and swap the bulbs for something brighter - suggestions have been made about a number of manufacturers, will I see an improvement to what I have now without the need to blind people?

you will see an improvement with those +50% or +70% bulbs but they are by far not as good as real xenons. Also the life of those bulbs is usually shorter than normal bulbs - so if you need to have lights on also during day (as we do here) - you will be burning them faster.
Is the autoleveling on your Merc xenon headlights working as it should? It should not be blinding anyone if set and working properly - get it checked.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
