XS Specification For 2011 Model year

Apart from the general across the range changes (badge colour, DPF, new colours, reshaped rear headrests, hill start and gradient acceleration control) are there any specific changes to the XS for the 2011 Model Year?

Is it correct to assume that arm rests will now be standard on a XS.

Will the XS come with a TDV6 (3.0 210bhp) and SDV6 (3.0 245bhp) engine or will this be an option?

Also are there any new or deleted options for the XS?

I didnt think there were any other changes, although I've just noticed that the Bright Pack is now an option - I thought previously that this was standard but could be wrong.

If that is the case then the cost of the basic XS has gone up by more than £400 and the £900 Bright pack has been removed.

There is a discrepency between the updated LR site and the prices list I was given by the dealer for the 2011 model car.

The LR site shows the Bright Pack as an option but the price list I received in xls format when I placed my order less than 2 weeks ago, shows that the bright pack is standard on the SDV6 3.0 XS

I'll be phoning the dealer in the morning to clarify.

Just spotted this thread............

XS did have the bright pack for 2010 and continues to do so for 2011my as standard equipment.

Only the commercial has the lower output (210bhp) as standard, all others are 245bhp.

XS will continue to NOT have front arm rests unless you opt for the electric seat pack which gives you front arm rests (£800 on XS) and the electric movement, but not memory.

Thanks James. I'm relieved that is the web site that is wrong. I would have begrudged paying extra for the bright pack.
