1st Year Service
Well, the time is slowly approaching, and just had my local $hit$tones on the phone trying to get me to book in with them, but at £304.00 seems a bit steep
They still do 'price matching' so anyone recently had a 1st service with good service and price?
Also, does anyone know how much leeway there is for the service, as mine is technically due the 15th March, but won't be available then, so looking at the end of March, but certainly don't want to lose my warranty......oh, will have done 13k miles come the end of March.
Cheers

it's been a while since my 1st service, and mines is done on the mileage as this comes before the date, but 1st one was just over £200 (206 if I recall correctly) at Hereford LR, inc courtesy car (just had 45k service done there at £286 all inc). With regard leway, the service guy at Hereford said 500 miles either side was OK.

£304 doesn't sound too bad - I paid £260 12 months ago and I recall Ryan saying prices/costs have risen since last year... even LLR's quote was only £230 last yearSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

My D3 is going for the 1st Service next week and the price is £300. Thats at Guy Salmon Wakefield.
Its not due untill the end of March, its on 12k now and the clock has already counted down the days to the service. So im in area next week so im taking it to them. As far as the leeway goes, i have a Defender 90 that was a year old on Dec 1st. With 8k on the clock, It got its 1st service on Jan 15th. It hasnt had any affect on the warranty at all.07 D3 Zermatt Silver, Stainless Steel Tubes, Chrome Mirror caps, Tints.

Well, made some calls, all of $hit$tones are quoting £304.00.
Tried Duckworths in Market Rasen who quoted £291.00, even tried Taggart's at Motherwell where I bought the D3 and they were the most coming out at £335.00
I finally tried Ripon Land Rover, as always rated these guys well, and got a price of £254.04, so all booked in

I'm surprised at Duckworth's - £225 inc VAT just before Christmas. Suppose you could remind them of that if you wanted - but Ripon is much closer for you, I suppose.I was taught to be cautious.
