2.7 TDV6 - replacement oil pump - front crankshaft oil seal

Anyone able to advise me if a replacement front crankshaft oil seal (1102415) is also required when replacing the engine oil pump (LR076782) on the 2.7 TDV6 engine? Or is the seal included and prefitted to the new oil pump?

No the seal is seperate and has to be fitted after the pump is installed.

Cheers for that. Is any special tool required in order to install the new front crankshaft oil seal in place on the oil pump once it’s been fitted?

There is a tool for making sure the seal is fitted correctly but most people use a socket. The seal has to sit 1mm back from the casing and if it's the new ptfe type needs to be left for 4hours before turning the engine.

Thanks. In all the threads and sites I've read so far though nothing has mentioned about the crankshaft nose bolt being a Torque To Yield bolt that needs to be replaced during the timing belt change. Is that part number LR013377 for the new crankshaft nose bolt? Shown as 6A345 in the parts diagram.

What about the 2x 1346539 oil seals? Listed in the parts diagram as 7G281.

If you get the full kit for front and rear belts all the bolts come in the kit, but you need to order the crankshaft seal, and bolt, the bolt is tightened to 100nm, then plus 90 degrees.

This is the full Kit
