Sorry to hi-jack this post but you guys seem in the know.
I've just bought a 2nd hand Witter tow bar, I've not tried fitting it as one of the supporting bars is slightly warped. Will this effect the integrity of the tow bar, tried Witter but no response?
sorry, can't help as I'm sure about a Witter bar, my post is about the multi height Landrover bar, it might be worth searching for Witter on the search bar as I'm sure a lot will have fitted this type of bar.

I like the way You've done yours Erea as it gives more clearance still using the large plate which I do feel has a better appearance but does Swansty have a valid point regarding not fixing through the countersunk holes?
The bolts are only passing through the countersunk holes as the long bolts are bolting the reciver to the hitch and the big plate is only being used as a spacer so I can't see any problem using those holes. You do end up with 2 spare countersunk bolts but there is nowhere to use them as all 4 bolt holes on the reciver will have bolts in them.

I've fitted mine like this, so that I can still fit the plastic cover when not towing and I bolted the spare Allan bolts to lower holes, they don't sit flush,
does this look ok? Also please look at the position of the green handle, when main dealer fitted the bar they said this is ok and bar is locked as it should be, just looks upside down to me.
Unless it's some different version, that handle should not be like that. I wouldn't have thought the key should not have come out with it like that? No, not right. The handle looks like it was fitted 180 deg out.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Took Disco into main dealer today who said the handle is ok in this position as it is locked in place and can't go anywhere, to be honest it was like they didn't believe that they had actually fitted it this way and asked had I moved it which I haven't. It's a shame as Ive just spent nearly £700 with them on a new compressor, gave them a great review and today really felt like they didn't want to know.
They did say they don't recommend fitting the tow ball into the countersunk holes but again didn't seem interested.
