Air con help request

I have had an 06 TDV6 S for about a month. It has climate control and if I just leave it in 'auto' it works fine. However, I understand that I have to run the aircon every month or so but how do I do this? All I can see at the moment is that I turn it out of 'auto' and turn the cabin temperature down as low as it will go. It's going to get cold! On my 1999 Megane I can turn the aircon on even when I have warm air selected.

what they are saying is that some people turn the air con off and the small amount of water in it gets smelly and so to run it every few weeks but as most of us never turn it off this is nothing for us to be concern about
 .

Many thanks for these quick replies. All these modern gizmoes are a real change from my 1996 300TDI. Electricity. A quiet engine. Air bags.. Decent cup holders.

you usually run the aircon every now and then to keep the seals lubricated.

Just leave it switched on! No more steamed up windows - worth every penny for this reason alone. -Just dial in the temperature you want and enjoy the drive.
