Air pipe blowing off

I am reposting here as I put the question in the D4 section by mistake. An pipe blew of the air drier, the pipe with the blue collar. Is this pipe replaceable? If not can I get another drier rather than replace the whole compressor assembly?

Metal dryer lids are available on eBay.

Assuming it’s the lid that’s broke not the pipe

The pipe didn't break, it came away from the drier lid, which did not break. So a pipe replacement will work?

If the pipe is OK (are you sure it didn't snap off in the connector?) then it'll be the Voss connector itself at fault. Personally I'd try the drier lid first, the pipes are disproportionally expensive for what they are...

Thanks for the replies. The pipe appears to have the Voss fitting still attached. I am thinking that a new drier would be the best bet, with new pipes, just to make sure.

I agree - metal lid will likely solve your problem, especially if your old will eventually develop the crack between fittings.

Replace the desiccant while you have it open!

And I suggest nipping ~2-3mm off the end of your old pipe before re-insertion
Then the new fitting will have a fresh, new, clean area of pipe to bite onto

Exactly as above - cut the pipe with the sharpest, thinnest blade you have, against a hard surface and lube the cut end with a bit of WD-40 or similar before insertion.

In the end I had replace the compressor, as the garage seemed incapable of finding a drier unit. Everything worked fine afterwards, they said, but now the suspension fault light comes on immediately. The front right suspension does not rise, the rest is ok.
Any suggestions? The new compressor is a different make from the one removed. Does that matter? The garage tried hard but couldn't get the suspension to level up.

I think you better get a white autel ap200 if you can.

Reads fault codes
And calibrates suspension once issue fixed

I would ditto the Autel, you need to read codes.

When you say the garage changed the type of compressor, I’m assuming if you had an Hitachi type they swapped for same type but different manufacturer? If they swapped it out for an AMK compressor, which is normally the one they go for, the car will need the code changing to take the new style, did they do that?

Thanks for your replies. I will have to check with the garage about the compressor make. Nothing was said about a code change so will have to check on that tomorrow.

I have ordered an Autel ap 200 which should arrive at the end of the week. The garage said that the new compressor is a Shipman.
I hope that it will be clear, in the app, what I have to do, as I don't have a clue at the moment!!

The ap200 can’t change the compressor type. Need to spend a lot to do that.
The ap200 should give you a much better idea what’s going on

I received my Autel 200 today and did some diagnostics. The following were the results
Powertrain control module Fault 3
Instrument cluster control module Fault 2
Body control module Fault 5
All terrain control module Fault 1
Ride level control module Fault 2
Vehicle dynamics control module Fault 1

There many suggestions as to possible causes!

The symptoms are that the rear suspension is stuck on very high, the front left is normal height and the front right is very low. The orange warning light comes on when the ignition is on.
What do I do now? Any advice is welcome!

Ideally Screen grab or tell us what the 4 codes and description is for the last 3 modules
