Well, went to the dealer today and they are "happy" that they fitted the rubbing strip in the wrong position, and say that they fit all there rubbing strips higher.
I've done some checks today and where they are positioned now they are in a better place to stop doors hitting the door panels.
So now I have a dilemma. Do I have the strips taken off and new strips applied? Or do I leave them were they are to protect the doors?
To be honest gents, until you point out they were in the wrong place they did look OK to me.
The dealer has said they will do what I want to put the situation right. Discovery 4 XS

First, congratulations MLC, very nice looking vehicle you have! 8)
I'd definately leave in strips as it is on your car. I have mine done on 'correct' height and it is a problem in parking lots where other car doors keep hitting the paint work, rubber is too low for protection. As for off road protection, I think there is not that much of a difference because you never now about terrain.
Which looks better, higher or lower, is matter of opinion, I like them both.
