It is a winch type, I've got one fitted, doesn't need to have a winch there. Normally the number plate would be on the A bar, here it's on the bumper.

fitting this to any D3 not already fitted with a nudge bar is illegal as this is the pre 06 MY version
i suppose it would be difficult to prove if on a pre 07 car but if fitted to a post 97 car and was involved in an accident the insurance would have a get out clauseTLO has left the building.......

Nick,
You say that it's a pre 06MY version and it cant be fitted to any D3. But surely it can be fitted to a pre 06MY D3, or is the score that it could have only been fitted before 06 so cant be fitted now?

Nick, yeah of mucho knowledge in these things, mine's an 06MY, built Sept 05 and registered Apr 06, the winch version was fitted by me a year later. Does that mean mine could be deemed illegal if I was involved in an accident??
